Replacing the Filter

For the fi lters, use the optional EP-A6000-902 (dust fi lter) and EP-A6000-903 (deodorizing fi lter).
Remove the water tank, and then pull out the water tray.
(This procedure should be done to prevent water leakage.)
When you remove the water tank, water may drip from the tank cap.
Lay a dry cloth before removing the water tank.
Remove the panel and the pre-filter.
Remove the used filter.
No cleaning effect is obtainable if the fi lter is installed with plastic bag.
It may also be a cause of malfunction.
Note
CAUTION
Remove the dust fi lter and then the deodorizing fi lter.
Take a new dust filter out of its
plastic bag and install it on the unit.
Insert the filter all the way until the label (dust filter
position indicator) is hidden.
Install the pre-filter.
Take a new deodorizing filter
out of its plastic bag and
install it on the unit.
CAUTION
Be sure to take the fi lter out of its plastic bag.
Do not block the fi lter front surface with
cloth or paper.
Same precautions should be taken for the
dust fi lter as well.
Install the deodorizing fi lter so that its black
surface faces the front (white surface in the
back).
Insert the fi lter all the way until the label
(deodorizing fi lter position indicator) is hidden.

Install the water tray, and then mount the water tank.

Reinstall the panel on the unit.
Filter Replacement (Continued)
Use a genuine fi lter for the Hitachi Air Purifi er.
Before replacing the fi lter, be sure to stop the purifi er and unplug the power cord from AC outlet.
Other filters may cause unit failure.
