Before beginning the installation be sure the following tools
and building supplies are available:
Reciprocating saw Framing material
Pliers Non-combustible sealant
Hammer Gloves
Phillips screwdriver Framing square
Flat blade screwdriver Electric drill and bits
Plumb line Safety glasses
Level Tape measure
1/2-3/4 in. length, #6 or #8 self-drilling screws
Misc. screws and nails
H. Inspect Fireplace and ComponentsF. Tools and Supplies Needed
WARNING! Risk of Fire and/or Explosion! Damaged
parts could impair safe operation. DO NOT install dam-
aged, incomplete or substitute components. Keep fi replace
dry.
• Remove fi replace from pallet.
• Remove fi replace and components from packaging and
inspect for damage.
• Remove the hearth molded brick panel, screens and grate
from inside the unit.
• Vent system components, doors, molded brick panels and
mortar are shipped in separate packages.
• Report to your dealer any parts damaged in shipment.
• Read all the instructions before starting the installation.

installation to ensure maximum safety and benefi t.
