There is a scraper provided with the
unit for cleaning out the ash. There is
a hole in one end for hooking onto the
front heat exchanger tube rod for
cleaning if the unit is hot.
If you want to, you can purchase an
adhesive back hook and place it on
the back panel of the unit to store the
scraper tool. This can be purchased
at any local hardware store.

sh clean out slides (3500P &
3500L model) Pull out to empty
ashes out of firebox area and
back heat exchanger area. You
will have to scrape the ashes
down through the holes on the
inside of the unit. (using the
scraper tool) Make sure to push
the slides all the way in when
done.

edestal Ash Pan (3500P & 3500L
models) Turn (2) knobs counter
clockwise to open ash pan door, pull
out ash pan (be sure to wear gloves)
and empty into a metal sealed
container. Make sure that the ash pan
area is clean before putting the ash pan
back into place. Close ash pan door
and turn knobs clockwise until door is
tight and sealed. NOTE: the unit will
not operate correctly if the door is not
closed and latched to get a proper seal.
