Setting First Stage Differential
NOTE: The thermostat willreturn to normal operatingmode automatically after15
seconds ifno key is pressed. It will also returnto normal operating mode immediately if
the RESUMEbutton is pressed.
NOTE: The first and secondstage differentialsettings are the samefor both the
heating andcooling systems.
NOTE: If you do notdesire to change thesecond stage differential"d2" setting you can
wait 15seconds and the thermostatwill automatically returnto the normal operating
mode. Otherwise,you can press RESUMEbutton twice to skipthe second stage
differential settingand proceed to theresidual cooling fan featuresetting and refer tostep
6 below. Pressing the RESUMEbutton three times willskip the second stage differential
setting andresidual cooling fan featuresetting and automatically return you tonormal
operating mode.
Thedefault settingsforthefirstand secondstagedifferentialsand residualcoolingfan delay
settingsarecompatiblewithmost systemsandapplications.This is normallyset at time of
installationand usuallydoesnot requireanymodificationundernormal operatingconditions.
Ifyou feel that thefirstor secondstageof yoursystemisturningontoo often,oryouwishto
changethe fan delaysettings,simplyfollowtheinstructions below.

Setting Second Stage Differential

Thedefault settingis1˚ F(0.5˚ C). Theroom temperaturemustchange1˚ F(0.5˚C) fromthe
setpointtemperaturebefore the thermostatwillinitiate the system in heatingorcooling.

Innormaloperatingmode,press& holdRESUMEbutton for 4seconds. LCDdisplay will show
"d1x˚",where"x" equalsthe˚F /˚C differentialsetting. Thisis thecurrentfirststage
differentialsetting.
Thedefault settingis2˚ F(1.0˚ C). Thismeansthatthe room temperature must change2˚ F(1.0˚C)
inaddition to thefirststagedifferentialsettingbeforethethermostatwillinitiatethesystemin
heatingor cooling.

Press the or buttons to setthe firststagedifferentialto yourdesired settingof 1˚,2˚,
or3˚ F(0.5˚,1.0˚,or1.5˚C).

Press DAY/TIMEbuttonagain,theminute portionofthe timewillflash.

Press the or buttons to setthe currentminute.

Press DAY/TIMEbuttonagain,thedayof the weekindicatorwill flash.

Press the or buttons to setthe currentday of the week.

Press the or buttons to setthe second stage differentialto your desiredsettingof 2˚,3˚,4˚,
5˚,or6˚F (1.0˚,1.5˚,2.0˚,2.5˚,or3.0˚C).

NOTE: To eraseall entered programs,current time of day,day ofweek and otheruser
settings,gently press RESET button usinga paper clip or asmall penciltip. This will
return allThermostat settings totheir default values. Remember, this willerase all
programs enteredby the user.
Thedefault settingis60 seconds. DuringtheCOOLmodeof normaloperationthefan will stay
onfor 60 seconds afterthe coolingsystemhassatisfied the setpointtemperatureandhas turned
offthecompressor. Thisallowsthe systemto providehigherefficiency duringcooling operation.

Press RESUMEbuttonagainandthe LCD display will show "d2x˚",where"x" equals the ˚F /˚C
differentialsetting. This is the currentsecondstagedifferentialsetting.

Press the or buttons to setthe residualcooling fan delayto
yourdesiredsettingof 0 (disabled),30,60,or90 seconds.

Press RESUMEbuttonagainto returnto normaloperating mode or
wait15secondsandthethermostatwill automaticallyreturn to
normaloperating mode.

Press RESUMEbuttonagainandthe LCD display will show "FANxx",where "xx"
equalsthe fan delaytimein secondsduringthecooling mode of operation.
