TEAM PROFILES: CIN
The scouting department for the Bengals has to have a smile on
its face. Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are now in their second year
and that eliminates two key positions that you might have had
to address for the next decade. What Cincy lacks, is depth. After
Green, the WR core falls off and the same could be said for TE’s
after Gresham. Also, don’t overlook the CB position. 2 of your top 3
corners are over the age of 32 so make sure you inject some youth!
Playing as a Player
As good as Andy Dalton was for the Bengals his rookie year, there
is still room to overtake him with the right kind of player. That player
type that Bengals crave is a Field General QB. Come in and do well in
preseason and in practice and you’ll have no problem starting Week
One.
A Red Zone Threat WR is also needed on offense. You won’t come in
and be the number 1 receiver, but you’ll get solid playing time as the
number 2 and potentially be the go-to guy within a years’ time.
Your best bet to start right away on defense is to come in as a Run
Supporting SS. You’ll do nothing but improve what is already one of
the league’s best defenses.
