FREESTANDINGINTERIORVERTICALINSTALLATION
1. LocateyourPelletStoveRoomHeaterinalocationwhichmeetstherequirementsofthismanual,but
inanareawhereitdoesnotinterferewiththehouseframing,wiring,etc.
2. Installanon‐combustiblehearthpadunderneaththepelletstove.Thispadshouldextendatleast6”
(152mm)infrontoftheunit.
3. PlaceyourPelletStoveRoomHeateronthehearthpadandlocatetheunitinmannerthatwillleave
theexhaustventwithaminimumof3”(75mm)clearancetoanycombustiblewall.
4. Wheninstallingtheairintake,locatethecenterofthe combustion airintakepipeatthe
backofyour
unit.Lineupthecenterwiththesamespotonyourexteriorwallandcuta2‐1/2”(64mm)diameter
holethroughthewall.
5. Secureall ventjoint connectionswith 3screws. Sealtheexhaust ventjoint connectionswith high
temperaturesiliconesealant.
6. Installthe
combustionairintakepipe.
7. Installatee,withacleanout,ontheexhaustpipefoundattherearofyourunit.
8. Installapprovedventupwardthroughtheceiling.Whenyoupassthroughthecombustibleframing
ensure that the appropriate ceiling firestop is used. You must maintain a minimum 3” (75mm)
clearancetocombustiblesandkeepanyinsulationawayfromtheexhaustvent.
9. Extendtheexhaustventthroughtheroofflashingandensurethattheverticalcapisapproximately
36”(900mm)abovetheroof.
