Lighting the Power Burner
Electronic Ignition
Lift the cover.1.
Keep your face as far away from the burners as possible.2.
Turn the burner knob counter clockwise past the light position 3.
to HIGH. You will hear a loud click as the electronic lighter pro-
duces a spark.
Listen for the sound of the gas igniting. If the burner does not 4.
light on the rst try, repeat immediately.
If the burner does not light after three attempts, turn the con-5.
trol knobs to the OFF position. Wait ve minutes until the gas
clears before attempting to light it again.
Repeat the procedure or try the manual lighting procedure be-6.
low.
Upon successful lighting, repeat the process on the other burner.7.
To shut off the burners, rotate the knob and turn to OFF. It is 8.
normal to hear a popping sound when the burners are turned
off.
Manual Lighting
WARNING: Do not use standard matches or cigarette lighters. Seri-
ous burns can occur and lighters can explode.
Lift the cover.1.
If you have just attempted to light the burner, allow ve minutes 2.
for any accumulated gas to dissipate.
Keep your face as far away from the burners as possible.3.
Light a long stem match or butane lighter, holding it near the 4.
burners.
Push in and turn the control knob just past the LIGHT position 5.
to HIGH.
Listen for the sound of the gas igniting. If the burner does not 6.
light after ve seconds, turn the control knobs to the OFF posi-
tion. Wait ve minutes until the gas clears before attempting to
light it again.
If the burner does not light after several attempts, see trouble-7.
