For Custody Transfer applications, API chapter 7 recommends a
minimum of one temperature sensor per 3 meters (10 feet) as shown in
Figure 12-4. Emerson Process Management/Rosemount Tank Gauging
may in some cases recommend a higher number of temperature sensors
for tanks used for Custody Transfer, depending on how the tanks are
operated.
