3 Safety instructions
3.4 Concerning the provided battery pack
Danger of injury and explosion due to improper handling of
the battery pack.
If the battery pack must be replaced, contact a specialist
dealer or Dirt Devil Customer Services. Never replace the bat-
tery pack yourself. Do not replace the battery pack with other
rechargeable batteries or batteries.
Before removing the battery pack, ensure that the AC
adapter has been removed from the socket.
Never short-circuit the battery pack, i.e. never touch both
poles simultaneously, especially with metal objects.
Never take the battery pack apart, and never expose it to
high temperatures.
Improper handling can lead to liquid leaking from the bat-
tery pack. Avoid any contact with the liquid.
Only use the AC adapter supplied with the appliance to
charge the battery pack. Never charge the battery pack with
a different AC adapter. Only use the provided AC adapter to
charge the battery pack of this appliance.
After its service life, dispose of the battery pack in an envi-
ronmentally responsible manner, as described, chapter 9.4,
„Removing the battery pack“.
3.5 Concerning appropriate use
This appliance may only be used in the household. The
best cleaning result is achieved in small or enclosed rooms.
The appliance is not suitable for commercial use.
The appliance must only be used for cleaning on level, hard
floors with normal accumulation of dirt or dust. If the round
brooms are not mounted it can also be used on short pile carpet.
