Raise the presser foot lever, pass the end of
the thread through the presser foot, and then
pull out about 5 cm (2 inches) of thread
toward the rear of the machine.

■ Manually threading the needle
If the needle threader cannot be used, thread the
needle as described below.

Thread the machine to the needle bar thread
guide, as described in steps
a through k of
“Threading the upper thread”, and then lower
the presser foot lever.

Turn off the sewing machine.

Manually pass the thread through the eye of
the needle from front to back.

Raise the presser foot lever.

● Be sure to turn off the sewing machine,
otherwise injuries may occur if the start/stop
