Shifting patterns
Satin stitches (No. 32–47 of , selected with
) can be shifted to the left or right by half the
width of the pattern, allowing you to create a step-
shaped pattern. This is called a “step pattern”.
Select (No. 48 of , selected with )
once to move the stitch pattern to the left by half the
width of the stitch pattern.
Select (No. 49 of , selected with )
once to move the stitch pattern to the right by half the
width of the stitch pattern.
As an example, the procedure for creating the
following pattern is described below.
a
Select (No. 41 of , selected with
).
Press (Decorative stitch key), and then use
the numeric keys to type in “41”.

Using the numeric keys, type in "49" to select
(No. 49 of , selected with ).
X The next pattern selected is moved half a
width to the right.
c
Using the numeric keys, type in "41" to select
(No. 41 of , selected with )
again.
d
Using the numeric keys, type in "48" to select
(No. 48 of , selected with ).
X The next pattern selected is moved half a
width to the left.
e
Specify that the patterns will be sewn
repeatedly.
