If the outside temperature is below 50°F,
DO NOT use the button to move the
temperature below the setpoint tempera-
ture. Property damage may result due to
compressor slugging.
9. Why doesn’t the temperature change at
the time I programmed?
There may be a number of causes for this
situation. The following are primary reasons.
• The EMR function is operating. The EMR
function will bring on the system automati-
cally to bring the temperature to the se-
lected level by the beginning of the next

• You have programmed the incorrect day
or time. Check your programming (be
sure that the times you programmed are
correct AM or PM times). See PRO-
GRAMMING YOUR THERMOSTAT.
• The thermostat is in the HOLD mode.

• The compressor lockout feature is oper-
ating; wait about 5 minutes for system to
