6. Belt or brushbar: removal
and replacement
TOOL REQUIRED: Phillips screwdriver
WARNING: toreduce theriskofinjuryfrom moving
parts -unplugcleanerbeforechangingbelt orbrush.
To remove belt
Lay cleanerflat andflip cleaner to expose nozzle base.
Base should layflat and faceup. To remove nozzle guard,
use Phillips screwdriver toremove the three(3) screws.
Arrows show location of screws.
Flip cleaner rightside up. Rotate nozzleguard forward
and lift off.
Lift and remove brushbar. Disposeof old belt.
To replace belt or brushbar
Slide belt onto motorshaft.
Place new belt inarea of brushbarwithout bristles.
With new belt inplace, pull andslide brushbar into nozzle
making sure that thebrushbar end capsare inthe correct
orientation (Fig. 6/5inset). Rotate brushbar manuallyto
make surebelt is properly aligned.
