3. How to assemble
Handle Assembly
Slide handle throughtop of
back panel untilit snaps
into place.
Tool Storage
Attach tools: (a)Slide the dust brushinto thehole on the
back of thecleaner with bristles facing out.(b) Slide the
crevice tool onto round post on theback of the cleaner
and snap into place(Fig.3/2).
4. How to operate
Cord release
Turn QuickCord Release for easy cord removal.
Carpet height adjuster
Turn thecarpet height adjuster knobto match the
surface being cleaned.
IMPORTANT:For easiest adjustment, place
cleaner in fullupright position.
On/Off Switch
Plug cord into electrical outlet. Turn cleaner onby
pressing theon/off switch located onthe side of unit.
Handle Release Pedal
Torelease handle,push the handlerelease pedallocated
on the lower left side ofthe cleaner.
CAUTION: Brushbarcontinues to rotate while hose
is removed orin use andat all timeswhile cleaner
is on. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers,and all partsof
body away from brusharea whilecleaner is on.Cleaner
must bein the upright positionto liftthe rotating brush
off thecarpet whencleaning above the floor.

Cord Release
Height adjuster
WARNING: This cleaner has a constantly
rotating brush bar which, when left in contact
with lino, parquet and other hard flooring could
potentially causesome damage to thefloor surface.
NOTE: Vax recommends that you raise the height of
the brush bar whenusing this cleaner on linoand hard
flooring. Vax cannot beheld responsiblefor damageto
these surfaces if the customer fails to take notice of
this recommendation.
