Care and Maintenance of Bath Lift
NOTE:Followthemaintenanceproceduresdescribedinthismanualtokeepthe1900and1900S
liftincontinuousservice.
The1900seriesliftsaredesignedtoprovideamaximumofsafe,efficientandsatisfactory
servicewithminimumcareandmaintenance.
Allpartsofthe1900seriesliftsaremadeofthebestgradesofsteel,butmetaltometal
contactwillwearafterconsiderableuse.
Thereisnoadjustmentormaintenanceofeitherthecastersorwheellocks,otherthan
cleaning,lubricationandcheckingaxleandswivelboltsfortightness.Removealldebris,
etc.fromthewheelandswivelbearings.Ifanypartsareworn,replacetheseparts
IMMEDIATELY.
Invacarerecommendsatightenedarmrotation.Thearm,whenplacedintheupposition,
shouldstayintheupposition.RefertoAdjustingArmAngleandTensiononpage 19.
Ifyouquestionthesafetyofanypartofthelift,contactyourDealerIMMEDIATELYand
advisehim/herofyourproblem.
Detecting Wear and Damage
Itisimportanttoinspectallstressedparts.Replaceanydamagedorwornparts
IMMEDIATELYandensurethattheliftisnotuseduntilrepairsaremade.
Cleaning the Lift
ƽ WARNING
The arms and seat of the lift MUST be cleaned and disinfected after each use with a
bath. Refer to Disinfecting the Lift on page 12.
1. Asoftcloth,dampenedwithwaterandasmallamountofmilddetergent,wipedown
allpartsoftheliftthataresubmergedinwaterfromthebath.
NOTE:Theliftcanbecleanedwithnonabrasivecleanersordisinfectants.
