END-OF-SEASON CARE AND STORAGE
When the humidifier will not be used for at least one week, or it is the end of the season, fol-
low the WEEKLY CARE AND CLEANING instructions in this manual.
If it is the end of the season, remove and discard any accessories from the humidifier.
Dry the humidifier completely before storing. Do not store with water inside the Base, Heating
Chamber or Water Tank.
Pack unit in original carton and store in a cool, dry location.
REASSEMBLE HUMIDIFIER
1.
Place Removable Tray over heating element. Push Locking Tab toward back of unit so Removable
Tray Lift Tab locks in place.
2.
Align Cooling Chamber Tab over Removable Tray. Push Locking Tab toward back of unit so
Cooling Chamber Tab locks into place beside Removable Tray Tab.
3.
Replace Water Tank on Base.
4.
Humidifier is ready to use. See Operating Instructions.

NOTE: Failure to keep this unit clean from mineral deposits normally contained in any water
supply will affect the efficiency of operation of this unit. Customer failure to follow these
instructions may void the warranty.

5. Fill Heating Chamber with 1 cup undiluted white vinegar. Vinegar should completely cover
Heating Element.
Place Removable Tray over Heating Element. Push Locking Tab towards back of the unit so
Removable Tray Tab locks in place.
Vinegar solution will loosen mineral buildup (scale) on Heating Element and bottom of Cooling
Chamber as they soak.
6. Soak Heating Element in vinegar solution for 15-20 minutes then gently scrub with a soft
brush to remove mineral deposits. Do not use hard brushes, steel wool or other hard abrasives
on the heating element. Doing so will damage the heating element.
Rinse Base and Removable Tray with water until smell of vinegar is gone.
CAUTION: Do not immerse base in water.
7. Wipe Cooling Chamber, Medicine Cup and Removable Tray with a little vinegar and clean cloth
if not already cleaned in dishwasher.

Instructions for Disinfecting
Follow Steps 1-4 in Scale Removal Instructions in previous section.
For Step 5: While humidifier is disassembled, add 1 tsp of bleach to 1 gallon (3.8L) of water
and fill Water Tank with this solution. Replace Tank Cap. Swish solution around in Water Tank.
If not cleaning Removable Tray, Mist Chimney and Medicine Cup in dishwasher, use some of
the bleach solution to wipe these components clean.
Empty tank and rinse all components with water until smell of bleach is gone.
NOTE: Using more than 1 tsp of bleach per gallon (3.8L) of water may result in damage to
your humidifier.

NOTE: Do not mix vinegar and bleach solutions together. Scale Removal and Disinfecting must
be done separately.
