Operating Instructions
B. General Information
Fireplaces, as well as other woodburning appliances, have
been used safely for many years. It has been our experience
that most problems are caused by improper installation and
operationofthereplace.Makecertainthatinstallationand
operationofthereplacesystemisinaccordancewiththese
instructions.
Itisextremelyimportantthattherebesupervisedwhen-
everthereplaceisinuse.Itisalsorecommendedthatan
annualinspectionbeperformedonthereplacesystemto
determineiftheuesystemneedstobecleaned,orasin
the case of any appliance, if minor repairs are required to
maintain the system in top operating condition.

• Immediately close the door and air controls to reduce
airsupplytothere.
• Ifyoususpectachimneyre,calltheredepartment
and evacuate your house.
• Contact your local chimney professional and have your
stove and stove pipe inspected for any damage.
• Do not use your stove until the chimney professional
informs you it is safe to do so.
