Questions & Answers
QUESTION: Is the HAAN
®
Duo
safe for use on all hard
surfaces?
The HAAN
®
Duo™ emits a high velocity, dry vapor of steam
at a consistent 212°F to ensure it is safe to use on any sealed
hard surface. And the patented, super-absorbent, multilayer
Ultra-Microfiber cleaning pads are designed to reduce friction
and dry floors almost instantly, making the Duo™ safe on even
the most delicate flooring, such as hardwood or laminate.
QUESTION: Can the Duo
be used on laminate and hard-
wood flooring?
The HAAN
®
Duo™ was designed for use on sensitive flooring
like laminates and hardwood. We’ve spent years optimizing the
steam emission so that, at nearly half the wattage of competitive
products (ours is only 860w combined), we still emit steam
at 212˚F. This means our finer, vapor-like steam is gentler
than those that simply blast 1500w of water and steam onto
your floor. Yet, the Duo™ is more effective than competitors
at penetrating stains and killing harmful germs and bacteria.
Steam is all we do, and we’ve spent years perfecting it. We
recommend that you test a small, inconspicuous area of the
floor to be sure that it can handle the heat and steam
action and refer to your floor manufacturer’s care
recommendations.
QUESTION: How do I use the black rubber pad included
with my HAAN
®
Duo
?
The black Floor Protector/Resting Mat is to be used whenever
your HAAN
®
Duo™ is not being actively used. Place your
Steam Cleaning Steam Sweeper and Floor Sanitizer on the
Floor Protector Resting Mat (with the ‘bumpy’ side facing
up) as soon as you assemble your unit and before you fill
the Water Tank. The unit should remain on the mat while it
heats up, AND you should always set your Duo™ on the mat
if you need to take a quick break from steaming. Never leave
your Duo™ sit in any one spot on the floor for any length
of time or it may damage the floor surface. The black Floor
Protector Resting Mat should also be used when the unit is
cooling down. If you store your unit standing up (as opposed
to hanging on a hook), we recommend you keep it on the mat
for storage as well.
