Haan HD-50 Vacuum Cleaner User Manual

IMPORTANT WARNING
Your Steam Sweeper & Floor Sanitizer is designed to
clean hard floor surfaces and carpets that will withstand
high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed
ceramic floors. On surfaces that have been treated with wax
or on some no-wax floors, the sheen may be removed
by the heat and steam action. It is always recommended
to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before
proceeding. It is also recommended that you check the use
and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

Using Your Duo
Steam Sweeper & Floor Sanitizer
Operating Instructions:
STEAM FUNCTION ON HARD FLOOR SURFACES:
1) Remove all parts from the packaging.
2) Assemble the unit as described on pgs 6-7.
3) IMPORTANT: Make sure you remove the clear
plastic film that is over the Thermal Indicator on
the water tank cap. Failure to do this could inhibit
the sensor and result in an incorrect reading. DO
NOT remove the black sensor (Fig 1).
NOTE: The Pad Tray attachment, which comes attached
to the base of the Duo™ in its packaging, must be
used in conjunction with the Ultra-Microfiber Pad
when using the unit to steam clean hard-surface
floors. To use the Duo™ on rugs and carpet, you
must remove the tray. The Ultra-Microfiber Pad is
not needed when cleaning rugs and carpet, unless
you are spot treating (see pgs 13-14 for details).
4) Attach the Pad Tray to the bottom of the Duo™.
There are buttons that fit into the bottom of the
Duo™ to hold it in place (Fig 2). Place the tray
on the floor with the foot tab towards the back
of the unit. Be sure the buttons are pointed up and
the rough surface that holds the pad is against the
floor. Lifting the unit, align the plastic foot tab to
the edge of the unit base. Press down and back
slightly with the pole, allowing the two small buttons
on the Pad Tray to snap into the corresponding
holes on the underside of the Duo
(Fig 3).
