Dometic CWP 5311 Water System User Manual

Before using the water purifier for the first time:
1. Check that the filter is in place in the water purifier.
2. Open the shut off valve on the inlet hose.
3. Start the water purifier by pressing the ON/OFF
button, see fig. A. The ON/OFF lamp now flashes
green, indicating that the UV lamp is heating up in
order to purify the water. If the tap is opened dur-
ing this heating up phase, a pulsating flow of non-
purified water is obtained.
4. Wait until the ON/OFF lamp glows with a steady
green light. (Depending on the ambient tempera-
ture, this time can vary up to 15 minutes.)
5. In order to flush the filter, open the cold-water tap
and let water flush for approx. 1 minute.
The water purifier is ready to be used.
Normal use:
The water purifier is in standby mode and the ON/OFF lamp
glows green.
1. Open the cold-water tap. The water purifier automati-
cally starts and pure water is supplied from the purifier.
2. Close the tap.
The water purifier is installed on the cold water
pipe, and consequently only the cold water is
purified.
Note that the hot water is not treated.
If the water purifier has not been in use for 24
hours or longer, flush it for approx. 1 minute before
consuming pure water.

USING THE WATER PURIFIER
When the water purifier has been installed according to the section ”Installation” it is ready to be used.
Check the indicator lamps on the control panel
once a week to ensure the water purifier is function-
ing correctly.
•Keep the outside of the water purifier clean. Wipe
off using a damp cloth.
Do not pour water over the unit and do not use
any corrosive or abrasive cleaning products.
Be sure to replace filter in time. The level of impuri-
ties in your water tank determines the life of the fil-
ter. See section “Replacing filter”.
The filter needs replacing every 6 months, when
indicated by the lamps on the control panel, when
the water flow has decreased to about half the nor-
mal amount or if the water has an unpleasant taste.
Take care not to spill any water on the water purifier.
After replacing filter, allow the used filter to drain
for a few minutes. It can then be discarded in your
ordinary household waste as it does not contain any
substances that are hazardous to the environment
(assuming the water purifier has been used for the
purpose for which it was intended).
•Once a month check for leaks in all the connections
and hoses to the water purifier.
The system (tank, hoses and water purifier) must be
disinfected regularly, see section “Disinfection”.
The water purifier needs to be descaled every
3 months during continuous operation or when the
flow has decreased and cannot be restored by
replacing the filter, see section “Descaling”.
