Proper installation is the most important step
in ensuring safe and continuous operation
of the replace. Although grounding may not
be required by code in your area, it must be
electrically grounded in accordance with lo-
cal codes or, in the absence of local codes,
with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA
70-1990.
This rebox is intended for installation in ac-
cordance with the National Fire Protection As-
sociation Standard for Chimneys, Fireplaces,
Vents and Solid-Fuel Burning Fireplaces,
NFPA 211, and in accordance with codes
such as the BOCA Basic/National Code, the
Standard Mechanical Code, and the Uniform
Building Code.

This is a wood burning rebox intended and
approved for installation in either residential
homes or buildings of standard construction.
This rebox system requires the utilization of a
DESA Heating, LLC 8" double wall, snap-lock
ue pipe system.
Glass doors are optional with this rebox and

specic rating information may be found on
the rating plate located inside the rebox
opening.
Before beginning the installation of the rebox,
read these instructions through completely.
• This DESA Heating, LLC rebox and its
approved components are safe when
installed according to this installation
manual and operated as recommended
by DESA Heating, LLC. Use only DESA
Heating, LLC approved components,
which have been designed and tested
for the replace system. Failure to do this
may cause a re hazard.
• The DESA Heating, LLC warranty will be
voided by and DESA Heating, LLC dis-
claims any responsibility for the following
actions.
a. Modication of the rebox or any of
the components manufactured by
DESA Heating, LLC unless otherwise
permitted by DESA Heating, LLC.
b. Use of a rebox insert or any other
component part not approved by
DESA Heating, LLC in combination
with a DESA Heating, LLC rebox.
