e) The available operatin
modes are split into two main
roups, manual and automatic. There
are sub-modes to these
roups. Their operation is defined as:
Manual
Manual (selected b
device S+0)- Power suppl
to individual loads is turned ON and OFF b
usin
a separatel
provided means, often additional push buttons.
Zero Return (selected b
device S+1) -Actuators are returned to their initial positions when the
Zero input (S+5) is
iven.
Automatic
One Step (selected b
device S+2)- The controlled sequence operates automaticall
but will
onl
proceed to each new step when the start input (S+6) is
iven.
One C
cle (selected b
device S+3) - The controlled actuators are operated for
one
operation
c
cle. After the c
cle has been completed, the actuators stop at their ‘zero’ positions. The
c
cle is started after a ‘start’ input (S+6) has been
iven.
A c
cle which is currentl
bein
processed can be stopped at an
time b
activatin
the ‘stop’
input (S+7). To restart the sequence from the currentl
‘paused’ position the start input must be
iven once more.
Automatic (selected b
device S+4)-Full
automatic operation is possible in this mode. The
pro
rammed c
cle is executed repeatedl
when the ‘start’ input (S+6) is
iven. The currentl
operatin
c
cle will not stop immediatel
when the ‘stop’ input (S+7)is
iven.
The current operation will proceed to then end of the current c
cle and then stop its operation.
Note
: Start, stop and zero inputs are often
iven b
additional, manuall
operated push
buttons.
Please note that the ‘stop’ input is onl
a pro
ram stop si
nal. It
cannot
be used as a
replacement for an ‘Emer
enc
stop’ push button. All safet
, ‘Emer
enc
stop’ devices should
be hardwired s
stems which will effectivel
isolate the machine from operation and external
power supplies. Please refer to local and national standards for applicable safet
practices.
