• Note that this section describes operations for playback of DVD VIDEO, DVD AUDIO, Audio CD, Video CD and SVCD
discs. For MP3 disc playback, see the independent chapter on and after page 51. But “Checking the sampling
frequency” on page 50 is applied to MP3 discs.
• The following table shows the contents of this section together with effective disc types for each operation.
• In the table above, “yes*” shows that the corresponding function is effective to non-audio information (such as
movies, still pictures and text data) if recorded on a DVD AUDIO disc.
