4-1.
Insert the downrod through the canopy, canopy trim ring, spindle
cover, and spindle. Feed the wires from the fan through the downrod.
4-2. Loosen the allen head set screw on the adapter using the large
allen wrench. Screw the pipe and ball into the fan assembly.
Note: When the pipe and ball assembly is fully installed, 2-3
threads on the pipe will still be visible; this is normal.
CAUTION: e adapter has a special coating on the threads. Do
not remove this coating; the coating prevents the downrod from
unscrewing. Once assembled, do not remove the downrod.
4-3. Find the allen head set screw in the adapter on the fan by raising
and angling the spindle. Tighten the allen head set screw using
the large allen wrench provided.
4-4. Lower the spindle cover. Find the allen head set screw on the
spindle cover. Tighten the allen head set screw using the small
allen wrench provided.
4-5. Cut the lead wires from the fan a maximum length of 3-1/2 inches
from the top of the downrod. Using wire strippers on the 18AWG
setting, strip 5/16 inch from each lead wire coming from the fan.
4-6. Raise the fan and place the hook on the ceiling plate through the
U-shaped hole in the rim of the canopy.
WARNING: Fan may fall if not assembled as directed in these
installation instructions.
