from the hand-held remote to control the
room temperature. If the hand-held remote
ismisplaced,obstructed,orforanyreason
cannottransmittothereceiver,thereceiver
willshutoffthereplaceafter8minutes.
This feature allows the user to lock/unlock
the keypad on the hand-held remote in the
MANUorAUTOmodetopreventinadvertent
operation(i.e.childrenoperatingthehand-held
remotecontrol,etc.).Thekeypadislockedin
eitheronoroff.PressthePOWERandLOCK
buttonstogethertoturntheunitonoroff.

Locatetheblowerswitchbyopeninglower
louveronreplace.Blowerswitchislocatedat
lower left inside louver door.
TheGA3650TBthermostat-controlledblower
hasavariablespeedcontrolwithanON/OFF
switch. The blower will start when the ther-
mostatsensesasufcientincreaseinrebox
temperature.TheGA3750Avariablespeed
bloweralsohasanON/OFFswitchbuiltinto
the variable speed control.
Ifyouareusing
GA3650TBblower,yourreplaceandblower
will not turn on and off at the same time. The
replacemayrunforseveralminutesbeforethe
blower turns on. After the heater modulates to
thepilotposition,theblowerwillcontinueto
run.Theblowerwillshutoffaftertherebox
temperature decreases.
Note:Itissafetooperatereplacewithblower
turnedoff.However,theblowerhelpsdistribute
heatedairfromthereplace.

the blower accessory.

INSPECTING BURNERS
Check pilot ame pattern and burner ame pat-
terns often.
Figure 32 shows a correct pilot ame pattern.
Figure 33 shows an incorrect pilot ame pattern.
The incorrect pilot ame is not properly heating
the thermocouple. When the thermocouple cools,
the heater will shut down.
If pilot ame pattern is incorrect, as shown in
Figure 33
• turn heater off (see To Turn Off Gas to Appli-
ance, page 18)

Note: The pilot ame on natural gas units will
have a slight curve, but ame should be blue and
have no yellow or orange color.

Periodically inspect all burner ame holes with
the heater running. All slotted burner ame holes
should be open with yellow ame present. All
round burner ame holes should be open with a
small blue ame present. Some burner ame holes
may become blocked by debris or rust, with no
ame present. If so, turn off heater and let cool.
Remove blockage. Blocked burner ame holes
may create soot.
