1. Open the thermostat cover door.
2. Set the FAN switch to AUTO.
3. Set the SYSTEM switch to COOL (to turn on cooling) or HEAT (to
turn on heating).
4. Press RUN.
System Switch
Cool - air conditioning
Heat - heating
Off - system turned off
Fan Switch
On - fan always on for air circulation
Auto - fan runs only when system
provides Heating or Cooling
Control buttons:
TIME, PRGM, RUN, HOLD
Find a switch located in the lower right corner of the wallplate labeled
ELEC/GAS. Set it as follows:
2.5 Set switch
• If you have either a gas or oil furnace, set the switch to GAS.
• If you do NOT have a gas or oil furnace, set the switch to ELEC.
Install 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery
compartment at the top of the thermostat.
2.7 Snap thermostat to the wallplate
2.6 Install batteries
Do not restore power to the heating and cooling system
until instructed.
