Advanced Installation
Certain computer skill/knowledge is needed in this section.
IfforanyreasontheInternetHubcannotconnecttoyourCable/DSLrouter(IP
address shown on the LCD does not fall in the same subnet of your router) you can
stillconnecttheInternetHubdirectlytoyourcomputer.Pleaserefertothesection
‘ResettingtheInternetHub’to reset the Internet Hub before proceeding.
1.PluginthenetworkcablewhichconnectstheInternetHubtoyour
computer’sLANport(insteadoftheCable/DSLrouter).
2.ChangetheIPaddressofyourcomputer(192.168.001.10)tomatch
the same subnet of the Internet Hub. Example, “192.168.001.199:80”.
3.LogintheInternetHubusingawebbrowserbytypingtheIPaddressand
enter the user name and password provided.
Example,
http://192.168.001.199:80.
Go to [Settings]
-
> [Network Setting].
1.Uncheckthe[DHCPclient].
2.EnteranIPaddress(ex.192.168.123.222)thatbelongstothesamesubnet
of your router.
3.EntertheIPaddress(ex.192.168.123.254)ofyourrouterinthe
Gatewayeld.
4.EntertheSubnetMask:192.168.123.0
5.EnterthePrimaryDNS,whichistheIPaddress
(ex.192.168.123.254)ofyourrouter.
6.EnteraHttpPort.83inthisexample.
7.Press[SaveCong]buttontosavethecurrentsettings.
8. Unplug the network cable from your computer and reconnect your
computer’sLANportlikeitwasbefore.
9.PluginthenetworkcablewhichconnectstheInternetHubtoyour
Cable/DSL router.
10. You should now be able to access the Internet Hub by typing the
IPaddress(ex.http://192.168.123.222:83)intoawebbrowser.
