11.0 Servicing the Boiler

11 .1 Annual Servicing
1. For reasons of safety and economy, it is
recommended that the boiler is serviced annually.
Servicing must be performed by a competent person.
2. After servicing, complete the relevant Service Interval
Record section of the Benchmark Commissioning
Checklist at the rear of this publication.
3. Ensure that the boiler is cool.
4.
Ensure that both the gas and electrical supplies to
the boiler are isolated.
5. Slacken the screws securing the facia panel. Lift the
outercase panel so that its securing tabs are clear of the
facia. Remove the panel (Fig. 39).
6. Remove the screws securing the inner door panel. Lift
the panel slightly to disengage it from the studs on top of
the case (Fig. 40).
7. Note the positions of the two sensing tubes on the
fan spigot (105 model. Only one tube on 80 model) and
three wires on the fan motor and remove them (Fig. 41).
8. Slacken the screws on the fan spigot outlet pipe
clamps. Ease the clamps inwards over the pipe (105).
9. On 80 models, undo the securing screw at the left
hand end of the pipe.
10. Draw the outlet pipe away from the boiler.
11. Remove the four screws securing the combustion
box door and remove the door (Fig. 40).
