Use your vacuum cleaner only as
described in this manual Use only with
Sears recommended attachments.
Disconnect electrical supply before ser-
vicing or cleaning out the brush area_
Failure to do so could result in the brush
unexpectedly starting, causing personal
injury from moving parts°
Do not leave vacuum cleaner when
plugged in, Unplug from outlet when
not in use and before performing main-
tenance_
Toreduce the risk of electrical shock-
Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces°
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close
attention is necessary when used by or
near children.
Do not use with a damaged cord or
plugo If vacuum cleaner is not working
as it should, has been dropped, dam-
aged, left outdoors, or dropped in
water, return it to a Sears Service
Center for assessment before using
again.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord
as a handle, close a door on cord, or
pull card around sharp edges or cor-
ners. Do not run vacuum cleaner over
cord. Keep cord away from heated
surfaces_
Do not unplug by pulling on cord° To
unplug, grasp the plug_ not the cord.
Do not handleplug or vacuum cleaner
with wet hand
Do not put any objects into openings_
Do not use with any opening blocked;
keep free of dust, lint, hair, and any-
thing that may reduce air flow_
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and
a|tparts of body away from openings

Turn off all controls before unplugging,

Do not put on chairs, tables, etc_ Keep
on floor°
Do not use vacuum cleaner to pick up
flammable or combustible liquids [gaso-
line, cleantng fluid, perfumes, elc,), or
use in areas where they may be pre-
sent_ The fumes from these substances
can create a fire hazard or explosion.
Do not pick up anything that is burning
or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches,
or hot ashes.
Do not use vacuum cleaner without dust
cup and/or filters in place°
Always clean the dust cup after vacu-
umingcarpet cleaners or freshener,
powders,and fine dust, Theseproducts
clog the filters, reduce airflow and can
cause damage to the vacuum cleaner.
Failure to clean the dustcup could
cause permanent'damage to the vacu-
um cleaner,
Do nol use the vacuum cleaner to pick
up sharp hard objects, small toys_ pins,
paper clips, etc, They may damage the
vacuum cleaner or dust cup.
