Touchthe Powerbuttononce.The unitwill automaticallybein Cool
mode with thetemperature setat75°F (24°C) andthe fanspeed at
F1, thesleep setting.
To setmodeofoperation
When you rstturnthe uniton, it will be in the Cool mode (lighton),with
constant fan.

(lighton).

WARMERTouch the button to raisethe roomair temperature.

temperature readoutfrom Fahrenheit(°F)toCelsius(°C).
Repeat step 7 to switch from °C back to °F.
To adjust fan speed

Touchthe FanSpeedbuttonto seethe currentsetting. Touchit again
to changespeed. F1isthe lowestsetting(SLEEPSETTING/LOW),
F2 is MEDIUM,and F3 is HIGH.
To activate Smart Fan

Thereisafourth option,SF, when selectingthe fanspeed.Thisis
the SMARTFAN function.SMART FANDOESNOT OPERATEIN
CONJUCTION WITH THEFAN ONLY MODE.
SmartFan will adjustthe fanspeed automaticallyto maintain the
desiredcomfortlevel. Forexample,ifthe outsidedoorsin yourhome
are opened foranextended period of time,ormorepeople entera
room,Smart Fanmay adjusttoahigherfan speedtocompensate
forthe increasedheatload. Thiskeepsyou from havingto adjustthe
fanspeed on your own.

NOTE: Setthe HOUR CLOC Kbefore attempting to settimer functions.
Youcan setthe START and STOPtimesaminimumofone hour apart,and
amaximumoftwenty-three hours apart.

Pressthe TimerOn/Of f button (light turnson) to activate thetimer
function. To deactivate this function, press theTimerOn/Off button
once again (lightturns off).Oncethe on andoff timeshavebeen
selected,theywillremaininmemory and cycle dailyuntil changed.
NOTE: If the unitisunplugged or thepower is interrupted,the HOUR
mustbereset or the TimerOn/Off will notfunctionwhendesired.
Automatic componentprotection
Your unit isequipped withAutomatic Component Protection. To protectthe
compressorofthe unit,thereisathree minutestartdelayifyou turnthe unit
offorifpowerisinterrupted.The fanoperationwillnotbeaffected. Also,ifyou
switch from Cool mode to Fan Only,and switch back to Cool mode,there
is athree minute delaybeforethe compressor comesbackon.
