What to know
•UL and cUL LISTED for wet locations.
•This motion activated lantern should be installed by a qualified electrician or
persons with experience in household wiring. The electrical system, and the
method of electrically connecting this lantern to it, must be in accordance with
the National Electrical Code and local building codes.
•This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the fol-
lowing two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and
(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that
may cause undesired operation. Under Part 15 of the FCC Rules, any changes
or modifications to the motion detector described in this instruction sheet that
are not expressly approved by Regent Lighting Corporation could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested
and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part
15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protec-
tion against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment
generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and if not installed and
used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interfer-
ence to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the
equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference
by one or more of the following measures:
•Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
•Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
•Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to
which the receiver is connected.
•Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
•Fixture must be connected to a 120 Volt, 60 Hz power source. Any other
connection voids the warranty.
•For supply connections use wire rated at least 75 degrees C.
•Disassembly of your lantern will void the warranty.
•For best results, do not install more than one motion activated lantern on a wall
switch.
•Your lantern is prewired for easy installation.

Selecting the correct lens setting to match your mounting height
Install your lantern 6-12 feet above ground. The motion
detector is less sensitive above 12 feet. Position lens so
motion moves across detection zone (I). Position lens
away from heat producing sources to prevent false trigger-
ing.
Also be careful not to include objects such as heat
pumps, air conditioners, laundry vents and reflective sur-
faces such as windows, white walls, and water in the detection zone whenever
possible. Locate lantern away from moving objects such as trees and street traf-
fic. Your Regent motion activated decorative lantern has a selectable lens design
that allows you to choose the correct lens setting for optimum performance for
your mounting height.
Step 1: Measure the mounting height of your lantern from the ground. NOTE: If
