Xpelair Digitemp Air Conditioner User Manual

Air flow in heating mode
(shown on high level installation)
Air flow in cooling mode
(shown on low level installation)
For added flexibility Digitemp can be
installed at high or low level to
maximise floor space. The refrigerant
system is factory sealed so installation
does not involve opening the system
or connection of any hoses.
The modular approach means that
maintenance only affects one unit /
room at a time, the remainder of the
building is unaffected.

Key points to remember.
There are some essential issues relating to the application and installation
of the equipment which must be observed for problem free operation:
The maximum length of ducting is one metre
The unit must be mounted against an outside wall
Where possible the unit should be positioned towards the centre of
the selected wall and check weight specification
The diameter of the supplied ducting must not be reduced or restricted
The insulated duct must be used on the right hand side the product
(viewed from the outside) and with the insulation adjacent to the
rear of the unit
It is essential that the units are installed perfectly level, failure to do
so can lead to malfunction of the drip tray float valve causing
water damage
The units with reverse heat pumps must be provided with a means
of drainage since the ice that forms on the coil is melted off every
30 minutes - this cannot be evaporated in the way the other
condensate is discharged
Care must be taken to ensure that the inlet and outlets are not
obstructed in any way
, such as by plants and bushes
Only the inlet and outlet grilles supplied with the equipment must
be used
When the unit is mounted at high level, it is necessary to activate the
room temperature differentiation function, this compensates for the
stratification of heat
The cored holes must be angled slightly downwards towards the
outside to prevent any condensate running back into the unit
