- Clean the pre-lter when the lter cleaning light ashes to ensure
optimal functioning of the appliance.
1 Unplug the appliance.
2 Place your ngers in the recesses of the side panels and gently pull
the bottom of the front panel towards you. Then lift the hooks at the
top of the panel out of the top of the appliance.
3 To remove the pre-lter, grab the two projections and pull the lter
towards you.
4 AC4004 only: remove the multi-care lter from the back of the pre-
lter.
5 Wash the pre-lter under a running tap. If the pre-lter is very dirty,
use a soft brush to brush away the dirt.
Tip: Alternatively, you can clean the pre-lter by removing the dust with a
vacuum cleaner.
6 Air-dry the pre-lter.
Note: Make sure that the pre-lter is completely dry.
7 AC4004 only: reattach the multi-care lter to the back of the pre-
lter.
Note: Make sure that the front of the multi-care lter is pointing towards the
pre-lter.
8 Put the pre-lter back into the appliance. Attach all hooks properly
to the appliance.
Note: Make sure that the side with the two projections is pointing towards you.
