Step 2 Choose your insert
What to consider? Height: We’ll start by choosing the tallest insert that fits into your fireplace opening.
We make other suggestions based on usage. Usage: How big is the room? How much heat do you want? How
long would you like the fireplace to run? The answers may point to an insert with more or less heat output.
Step 3 Cover the gap
We use a matching metal surround to cover the gap between
the insert and your fireplace opening. They come in three fixed,
non-adjustable sizes that overlap the space, and then some.
Some
fireplaces—like those with arches, unusual configurations, protruding
stonework, etc.— may require a custom-made surround. Surrounds
are available in aged brass, black, graphite and new bronze
.
