Lubrication of the Planer is important for accuracy and durability of the machine.
Step 1) Apply grease to the Guide Rod (A) to ensure that the table block moves up and down the
planer smoothly.
Step 2) There are eight (8) sets of bevel sprockets (B) located inside the Planer.
Step 3) Use a brush to apply oil to the chain (C). Oil should also be applied to the Bracket (D) of the
Feed Roll Rod.
Adjusting Belt Tension
Located under the motor are two (2) brackets (see E in Figure 4). Each bracket has one (1) set screw and
two (2) Lock Nuts. Loosen all Lock Nuts. At the middle of the pulleys, apply light pressure to the Belt. At the
same time adjust the Set Screw until the Belt is just firm but not overly tight. Do not over tighten Belt tension.
Once the correct tension is reached, tighten the lock nuts.
Blade Maintenance
Step 1) Use the Allen Wrench to loosen the screws. Loosen the Hex screw and then take out the
Knife Lock Bar (B) and blade (C).
Step 2) Use the same method to remove the blade at either end.
