Troubleshooting
Relieve the pressure before checking or servicing the equipment.
Check all possible problems and causes before disassembling the pump.
PROBLEM
CAUSE SOLUTION
Pump cycles at stall or fails to hold
pressure at stall.
Worn check valve balls (541) or
seats (233).
Replace. See page 19.
Pump will not cycle, or cycles once
and stops.
Air valve is stuck or dirty. Disassemble and clean air valve.
See page 16. Use filtered air.
Check valve ball (541) severely
worn and wedged in seat (233) or
manifold.
Replace ball and seat. See page
19.
Check valve ball (541) is wedged
into seat (233), due to overpressur-
ization.
Follow Pressure Relief Proce-
dure, page 10. Disassemble ball
check assembly and inspect for
damage, see page 19.
Dispensing valve clogged. Relieve pressure and clear valve.
Leak detector has activated a shut-
down solenoid
Investigate failure and reset leak
detector
Pump operates erratically. Clogged suction line. Inspect; clear.
Sticky or leaking balls (541). Clean or replace. See page 19.
Diaphragm ruptured. Replace. See page 21.
Restricted exhaust. Remove restriction.
Air bubbles in fluid. Suction line is loose. Tighten.
Diaphragm ruptured. Replace. See page 21.
Loose inlet manifold, damaged seal
between manifold and seat, dam-
aged gaskets.
Tighten manifold clamps or replace
seats or gaskets. See page 19.
