MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURE
MAINTENANCE
Service should be performed by a
qualied service agency and an annual
system check is recommended. EMI units
are designed and constructed for reliability
and long life with minimal maintenance. To
insure peak operating efciency:
1. Clean air lter on a monthly basis or
when it is visibly dirty*:
a) The lter is accessed by removing
the front air intake access grille:
• Lift and remove grille
2. To clean the lter pull open the 2 clips
at the base of the lter and carefully pull
the lter out. Place the lter on a at
surface.
a) To vacuum: Use a brush attachment
and vacuum all visible dirt.
b) Or use a garden hose: Follow steps
1 and 2 then hose lter off. Let lter
dry before replacing.
*Allowing dust to collect on the lter will
result in reduction of air ow and cause
the unit to lose efciency. This condition
will cause the unit to malfunction.
Turn the POWER OFF to the unit be-
fore servicing or cleaning.
