11. Optimizing the Storage Memory or Flash
Image
Storage memory or the flash image can become fragmented after many store and load operations.
Fragmentation can cause blocks of memory to become unavailable for data storage. Because of
this, you should perform the storage memory or flash image optimization procedure periodically,
which rearranges the data in the storage memory or flash image and makes memory usage more
economical.
k To optimize the flash image

. On the computer window, click the button on the toolbar.

. Select the flash image icon, and then right-click with your mouse.

. On the shortcut menu that appears, select [Optimization].
k To optimize storage memory

. Connect the fx-9860G SD/fx-9860G to your computer.

. On the fx-9860 window, click the button on the toolbar.

. Select the [User Name] icon, and then right-click with your mouse.

. On the shortcut menu that appears, select [Optimization].
