TRANSPORTING UNIT
1. Always shut off engine and close fuel
shut-off valve when transporting on a
truck or trailer.
2. Use extra care when loading or
unloading onto truck or trailer.
3. Secure unit chassis to transport vehicle.
Never secure from rods or linkages that
could be damaged.
4. Do not transport unit while engine is
running.
IMPORTANT: Proper maintenance can
prolong the life of unit. The following chart
shows the recommended service schedule.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Check and clean
collection bag.
Remove and vigorously shake bag or use
compressed air to remove dust and debris.
Check bag for wear or deterioration. Replace
worn or damaged bag with Ariens original
replacement bag only.
IMPORTANT: If necessary, use a pressure
washer to clean bag. Allow bag to completely dry
before use. It may be useful to have a spare bag
available.
Clean unit. Remove debris with a soft-bristled brush. Do not
use harsh abrasives or cleaners.
Check engine oil. See Engine Oil on page 14.
Follow engine
maintenance schedule.
Perform scheduled engine maintenance. See
Engine Manual for detailed instructions.
Every 10 Hours Check fasteners. Check all fasteners. Replace missing or
damaged fasteners. Tighten all nuts and bolts to
correct torque values.
As Needed Lubricate throttle
control cable.
Add a few drops of oil to throttle control cable
and wire for smooth operation.
