Desktop Icons
The HX1 desktop contains both standard and specialized icons. Some of the specialized icons are
discussed below.
SetServerIP
The SetServerIP icon on the HX1 desktop is used to set the IP address of the server when using
the HX1 with a Voxware server. Please refer to Voxware’s documentation for more information.
SaveCiscoSettings
Use the SaveCiscoSettings icon to save the Cisco radio settings after making changes in the Cisco
Aironet Configuration Utility (ACU). If changes are made in the ACU and the SaveCiscoSetting
icon is not clicked, changes are lost after a reboot.
SaveTime
Use the SaveTime icon to set the time/date on the HX1 after a reboot. When the HX1 is rebooted,
the unit reverts to the last save date and time.
Before rebooting the HX1, click the SaveTime icon to ensure the current date and time is saved
and preserved after the reboot. Note that this icon must be used each time before the HX1 is
rebooted.
Note: Maintaining the correct date and time is especially important when using a wireless
security option like PEAP or EAP-TLS that requires certificates. Certificates are date
sensitive.
