Default Gateway configuration
Command: /cfg/l3/gw <1-4>

addr - Set IP address
intr - Set interval between ping attempts
retry - Set number of failed attempts to declare gateway DOWN
arp - Enable/disable ARP only health checks
ena - Enable default gateway
dis - Disable default gateway
del - Delete default gateway
cur - Display current default gateway configuration
The switch supports up to four gateways. By default, no gateways are configured on the switch. Enter 1, 2, 3, or 4 in
the command as the <gateway number>, depending upon which gateway you want to configure.
The following table describes the Default IP Gateway Configuration Menu options.
Table 123 Default IP Gateway Configuration Menu options
Command Description
addr <IP address> Configures the IP address of the default IP gateway using dotted decimal notation. For
example, 192.4.17.44
intr <0-60> The switch pings the default gateway to verify that it is up. The intr option sets the time
between health checks. The range is from 0 to 60 seconds. The default is 2 seconds.
retry <1-120> Sets the number of failed health check attempts required before declaring this default
gateway inoperative. The range is from 1 to 120 attempts. The default is 8 attempts.
arp disable|enable Enables or disables Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) health checks. This command is
disabled by default.
ena Enables the gateway for use.
dis Disables the gateway.
del Deletes the gateway from the configuration.
cur Displays the current gateway settings.
IP Static Route configuration
Command: /cfg/l3/route
[IP Static Route Menu]
add - Add static route
rem - Remove static route
cur - Display current static route configuration
NOTE: This menu is available only on the GbE2c Layer 2/3 Ethernet Blade Switch.
The following table describes the Static Route Configuration Menu options.
Table 124 Static Route Configuration Menu options
Command Description
add <IP address> <IP subnet
mask> <gateway> <interface>
Adds a static route. You will be prompted to enter a destination IP address,
destination subnet mask, and gateway address. Enter all addresses using
dotted decimal notation.
rem <IP address> <IP subnet
mask>
Removes a static route. The destination address of the route to remove must be
specified using dotted decimal notation.
cur Displays the current IP configuration.
