RESETTING YOUR VORNADO HEATER
Your Vornado Heater has a multi-level safety shut-off system designed
to prevent overheating. Overheating may occur when the inlets or
outlet are blocked, a foreign object prevents the blade from turning,
or the appliance tips over. If this happens, the safety shut-off system
will cut power to the heat element and you will need to manually reset
the heater.
Set the POWER switch to OFF and unplug the unit.
Remove any obstructions.
Wait 5–10 minutes, allowing the unit to cool down.
Plug in the unit and place in desired position.
Set the POWER switch to ON. Your Vornado Heater should now
function normally.
If the safety shut-off system repeatedly shuts off your heater or if it
will not reset after following the above procedure, DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE UNIT. Call Vornado Consumer
Services Department toll-free at 1-800-234-0604.
POWER ON/OFF
COOLER
Lower the desired room
temperature.
WARMER
Raise the desired room temperature.
MODE
HIGH HEAT 1500 watts, LOW HEAT
750 watts, or FAN ONLY.
LCD DISPLAY
Indicates mode, room temperature
or set temperature.
MODE light
Indicates the display is showing the current mode. FA is fan only. LO is
low heat. Low heat is helpful for limiting the power draw on the circuit
the unit is using. HI is high heat, for maximum heat potential. The unit
will throttle back and draw only the power it needs to maintain the
set temperature.
ROOM TEMP light
Indicates the display is showing the current room temperature. The
temperature is approximate and may vary based on room size and
ceiling height.
SET TEMP light
Indicates the display is showing the current desired room temperature.
Note the set temperature can be changed just by pressing the
WARMER or COOLER button; you do not need to press the MODE
button first.
