CLEANING
AND
MAINTENANCE
ODS/PILOT AND BURNER
• Use a vacuum cleaner, pressurized air, or small, soft bristled brush to clean.
CABINET
Air Passageways
• Use a vacuum cleaner or pressurized air to clean.
Exterior
• Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild soap and water mixture. Wipe the
cabinet to remove dust.

Turn off fireplace and let cool before cleaning.

CAUTION
You must keep control areas, burner, and circulating air passage-
ways of fireplace clean. Inspect these areas of fireplace before each
use. Have fireplace inspected yearly by a qualified service person.
Fireplace may need more frequent cleaning due to excessive lint
from carpeting, bedding material, etc.

Turn off and unplug fireplace and let cool before servicing. Only a
qualified service person should service and repair fireplace.

CAUTION
Never use a wire, needle, or similar object to clean ODS/pilot. This
can damage ODS/pilot unit.
POSSIBLE
CAUSE
1. Ignitor cable pinched or
wet
2. Ignitor electrode not con-
nected to ignitor cable
3. Broken ignitor cable
4. Bad piezo ignitor
5. Ignitor electrode broken
6. Ignitor electrode posi-
tioned wrong
REMEDY
1. Free ignitor cable if
pinched by any metal or
tubing. Keep ignitor
cable dry
2. Reconnect ignitor cable
3. Replace ignitor cable
4. Replace piezo ignitor
5. Replace ignitor
6. Replace ignitor
OBSERVED
PROBLEM
When ignitor button
is pressed, there is no
spark at ODS/pilot
