In most boilers, the hot flue gases
which rise from the combustion
area must pass around the push
nipples that join the heating sec-
tions. This results in uneven heat
transfer, concentrations of soot
buildup and undesirable draft loss.
Intrepid’s push nipples are located
to the side, out of the way of the
flue gases. This unobstructed flue
passage creates more uniform
heat transfer, minimizes draft loss
and reduces soot build-up.

Advanced design boiler
sections minimize soot
buildup.
The contour and spacing of ther-
mal pins in Intrepid’s heat
exchanger turbulate flue gasses
and increase heat transfer surface
area. Superior heat transfer prop-
erties permit use of smaller, com-
pact heat exchanger sections that
generate more Btu’s per section
than ordinary boilers.
