Using the Remote Control
Battery Installation
One CR2032 3V battery is included with the remote control. To activate the remote
control functions, pull out the plastic pull tab protruding from the remote control
housing. To change the battery, remove the battery drawer at the bottom back
oftheremotebysqueezingthesideandpullingthedrawerout.Pleaseinsertthe
battery into the remote with the positive side up as shown on the drawer.
NOTE: Always keep the battery and remote control out of the reach of children.
Remote Control Features
•OnlyuseCR20323Vbatterywiththisremotecontrol.
•Donotmixoldandnewbatteries.
•Donotmixalkaline,standard(carbon-zinc),orrechargeable
(ni-cad, ni-mh, etc) batteries.
•Batteriesmayposeachokinghazard.Donotletchildrenhandlebatteries.
•Cleanthebatterycontactsandalsothoseofthedevicepriortobatteryinstallation.
•Afteropeningbatterydoor,besurethedoorisproperlyclosedandclicksshut.
•Removeusedbatteriespromptly.Disposeofusedbatteriesimmediately.
•Iftheunitisnotgoingtobeusedforalongperiodoftime,removebatteriesto
prevent damage due to possible battery leakage.
•Pleasedisposeofusedbatteriesperlocalregulations.

Cleaning and Storage
We recommend that the heater be cleaned at least once a month and before
off-season storage.
• TurntheheaterOFFatthemainswitchandunplugit.Allowittocool.
• Useadryclothtocleantheexternalsurfacesoftheheater.
DO NOT USE WATER, WAX, POLISH OR ANY CHEMICAL SOLUTION
• Cleanyourheaterusingtheabove-mentionedsteps,thendisassembleand
pack the heater in its original container and store it in a cool, dry place.
• Themotorisfactorylubricatedandwillrequirenofurtherlubrication.
Air Filter
• Dirtanddustmaybecaughtontheairlter,affectingthefunctionofthedevice.
Cleantheairlterregularly.
• Toclean,turnunitOFFandunplugunitfromoutlet,thenremovetheBackGrill
Coveronthebackoftheheater.Removetheairlterfromthegrill.
• Washthelterbyhandinalukewarmsolutionofwateranddetergent.Rinsethe
lterincleanwaterandallowittodrythoroughly.Placetheclean,drylterback
into the back grill and close the back grill cover.
• Donotusethedevicewithoutthelterandbackgrillcoversecure.
Troubleshooting
If the Heater Fails to Operate
• BesureitispluggedinandthattheACoutletisworking.Checkcircuitbreaker
in case of a blown circuit.
• Checkforanyobstruction.Ifyoundanobstruction,pressON/OFFmainswitch
to turn the heater OFF. Unplug the heater and wait at least ten minutes for it to
cool. Carefully remove the obstruction. Plug the heater back in and restart it as
described under OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS.
• Iftheheaterstilldoesnotoperate,removethepowercordfromtheACoutlet
and have the heater service by authorized SI product service personnel.
