3. Set the thermostattolowest setting byturning the
watertemperaturedialclockwise,(( _,)to itslowest

NOT FORCE.
4. Turngascontrolknobclockw--ise _, _ to ",OFF"posi-
tion. Knobcannotbe turnedfrom 'PILOT to "OFF"
unlessknob isdepressedslightly.DO NOT FORCE.

5. Waitfive (5) minutesto clearoutanygas. If youthen
smellgas,STOP!Follow B inthesafety information
aboveon this label.If youdon'tsmell gas,go to the
nextstep.
6. Remove(or open)innerdoor locatedbelowthe gas
controlunit.(Figure9, page15)
7. Findpilot-followmetaltubefromgascontrol.Thepilot
islocatedontherighthandsideoftheburner.

8. If youdon'tsmellgas,turnknobongascontrolcounter
clockwise__(_ to"PILOT"position.(Figure7, page15)
9. Push in control knob all the way and hold down.
Immediatelylightthe pilotwitha match.Continueto
holdcontrolknob in for aboutone (1) minuteafter
the pilotis lit. Releaseknobandit willpop backup.
Pilot shouldremainlit. If it goesout, repeatsteps3
through8.
• Ifknobdoesnotpop upwhenreleased,stopandl
immediatelycall yourservicetechnicianor gasl
supplier.
• If the pilot will not stay lit after severaltries,
depress__ andturn,the gascontrolknobclockwise
