A. This replace is equipped with an ignition device
which automatically lights the burner. Do not try
to light by hand.
B. Before operating, smell all around the replace area
for gas and next to the oor because some gas is
heavier than air and will settle on the oor.
C. Do not use this replace if any part has been under
water. Immediately call a quali ed service technician
to inspect the replace and replace any part of the
control system and any gas control which has been
under water.
When lit for the rst time, the replace will emit a slight
odour for a few hours. This is a normal temporary condition
caused by the curing of paints and lubricants used in the
manufacturing process and will not occur again. Simply open
a window to suf ciently ventilate the room.
After extended periods of non-operation such as following a
vacation or a warm weather season, the replace may emit a

Do not try to light any appliance.
Do not touch any electrical switch; do not use any
phone in your building.
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbour’s
phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the re
department.
1. STOP! Read the safety information located above.
2. Turn off all electric power to the replace.
3. This replace is equipped with an ignition device which
automatically lights the burner. Do not try to light by
hand.
4. Remove the glass door.
5. Wait ve (5) minutes to clear out any gas. If you smell
gas including near the oor STOP! Follow “B” in the
above safety information on this label. If you don’t
smell gas go to the next step.
6. Replace the glass door.
7. Turn on all electric power to the replace.
8. Turn the replace switch to the ON position.
9. If replace will not operate, follow instructions “To
Turn Off Gas” and call your service technician or gas
supplier.
1. Turn the replace switch to the OFF position.
2. Turn off all electrical power to the replace if service is
to be preformed.
3. Turn manual shut-off valve clockwise to off.
Do not force.

open. Assure that a continuous gas ow is at the burner
before closing the door.
