INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully
before using it for the rst time. We also recommend that you keep the instructions
for future reference, so that you can remind yourself of the functions of your
appliance.
SAFETY MEASURES
Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.
Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any
injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee
Terms).
For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.
For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.
Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
Keep children under supervision when in use.
Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked
ames.
Switch off and unplug it when not in use, and before you change the dust bag or
clean the air lter.
o Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold
the plug.
o Keep hold of the plug when rewinding the cord, so that it does not strike the
appliance.
Never use without the exhaust lter and motor lter plus either dust bag or dust
holder with HEPA lter tted to avoid damaging the appliance.
Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not use it on wet surfaces.
Take particular care when vacuuming stairs, due to the risk of falling.
Do not use the appliance to vacuum up matches, hot ashes, cigarette butts,
hard or sharp objects, wet or damp substances, combustible materials (petrol,
solvents, etc.) or vapour from these.
Do not use to vacuum ne sand or dust – e.g. plaster, brick dust and the like.
Do not cover the appliance’s suction or exhaust port.
Ensure that you keep clothing, hair and body parts away from the nozzle and
moving parts of the appliance.
Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are,
or if the appliance has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
If the appliance or plug is damaged, it must be inspected and if necessary,
repaired by an authorised repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric
shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where
you bought the appliance for repairs under guarantee.

PREPARING THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT! Before use, open the lid and check that motor lter (26+27) and
exhaust lter (24+25) and either dust holder (19) or dust bag (13) are tted (see
section on Replacing Filters, Dust Bag and Dust Holder, below).
The remote control in the handle (16) uses 2 AAA batteries.
o Remove the lid (31) from the battery compartment (30) and insert the batteries.
o Check plus and minus poles are aligned correctly to avoid damage to the
appliance.
o NOTE: Without batteries, the appliance will function as an ordinary vacuum
cleaner which can be switched on and off at the on/off button (17).
Fit the hose (10) by inserting it into the hose connector (11) so that the dowels
(9) click into place.
Fit telesopic tube (7) at opposite end of hose. Tube length can be adjusted by
pressing on the lock button (8).
Fit nozzle required (5, 6 or 15) to telescopic tube.
USE
Plug in and switch the power on.
Press the on/off button to start and stop the appliance.
Use the "+" and "-" buttons (28) on the handle to regulate suction power during
use. The current setting can be seen on the indicator panel (3):
You can start and stop cleaning during use with the start/stop button (29). The
"MIN" symbol on the indicator panel will blink when the appliance is stopped.
The oor nozzle bristles have two settings which can be selected using the
brush function button on top of the nozzle.
o When cleaning hard surfaces (stone- or wooden ooring, etc.), the nozzle
brushes should be extended.
o When cleaning carpets and rugs, the brushes should be retracted into the
nozzle.
The small crevice nozzle can be used with and without brushes, as they can be
quickly extended or withdrawn.
If vacuum strength drops during use, check dust bag or dust holder (see
Replacing Filter, Dust Bag and Dust Holder below).
If full vacuum strength is still not achieved, check the hose and nozzle for
blockages, or the motor lter or exhaust lter may be clogged up (see section on
Replacing Motor lter and Exhaust Filter below).
NOTE: Check cause of fault and correct. Do not use appliance if any air holes
are blocked. Permanent motor damage can result.
Tips for vacuum cleaning
There is a nozzle holder (14) on the front of the telescopic tube for use when
vacuuming. to ensure they are always handy.
Each nozzle has a special purpose. Try each of them out in different situations.
You can park the oor nozzle in one of the parking brackets (on the back and
underside of the appliance) when taking a break from vacuuming.
REPLACING FILTER, DUST BAG AND DUST HOLDER
IMPORTANT! If the appliance loses suction strength during use, the dust bag
or holder may be full and need emptying. The lters may also need cleaning or
replacing. Never use the appliance if the bag- or holder are full or with no exhaust-
or motor lter.

Open the lid by pulling the opening
button (1) upwards and outwards.
Replacing the Motor Filter
The motor lter protects the motor against dust and dirt. The appliance must not be
used if the motor lter is not in place.
Pull the motor lter holder (26) out of the
appliance.
Clean or replace the lter pad (27) if
necessary (see section on Cleaning
below).
Replace the lter pad in the motor lter
holder so that the lugs hold it in place.
Fit the motor lter with the pad facing
towards the motor (see picture).
