7. Turn the permanent filter anticlockwise and remove it from the upper section.
(We recommend that you do this while holding the filter in a bag).
8. The filter consists of two sections, both of which must be cleaned. Brush
the sections with a small brush or wash them in lukewarm water without any
detergent or similar.
9. Allow the filter sections to dry completely, replace the filter on the upper section
by turning it clockwise, refit the upper section on the lower section, and insert
the dust container back into the appliance. Press in until you hear a click.
Cleaning the motor protection filter
The motor protection filter is the detachable filter pad located inside the appliance
above the dust container.
1. Pull the dust container out of the appliance as described above.
2. Lay the appliance on its side and remove the filter. Use tweezers or similar if you
find it hard to get hold of the filter.
3. Brush any dust off the filter, and then wash it using water and a little detergent.
4. Allow the filter to dry completely and replace it. Take care not to damage the
filter, and ensure that it covers the hole over the dust container, as otherwise the
motor or other parts of the appliance may become damaged.
Cleaning the exhaust filter
This exhaust filter (7) should also be cleaned regularly to maintain suction power.
1. Press the release button (8) on the filter holder on the top of the appliance, and
remove the filter holder.
2. Remove the filter pad from the appliance.
3. Clean or replace the filter in the filter holder as well as the filter pad. If you use
water to clean the filters, they must be completely dry before being replaced in
the appliance.
4. Fit the filter pad and filter holder in the appliance. Fit the filter holder by placing
the pin on the base of the filter holder in the hole at the bottom of the opening
and press the filter holder in until the release button clicks into place.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
You can lift and carry the appliance using the carrying handle (2). Never pull or
lift the appliance by the cord.
Before putting the appliance away, rewind the cord. Switch off at the socket,
unplug, and press the automatic cord rewind button (3) until the cord is fully
rewound.
CLEANING
Clean the appliance by wiping it with a damp cloth.
You must not use any form of solvent, or strong or abrasive cleaning agent.
Make sure all filters are kept clean (see above). Replace the filters once they
become worn or can no longer be cleaned.

if the above instructions are not followed
if the appliance has been interfered with
if the appliance has been mishandled, subjected to rough treatment, or has
suffered any other form of damage
if faults have arisen as a result of faults in your electricity supply.
