INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully
before using it for the first time. We also recommend that you keep the instructions

SAFETY MEASURES
The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.
Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on. Children should
be supervised when using it.
Switch the appliance off and unplug it when it is not in use, before cleaning, and
before you empty the dust container or clean the filters.
Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold
the plug. Keep hold of the plug when rewinding the cord, so that it does not
strike the appliance. Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot
objects and naked flames.
To prevent overheating, the cord must be at least 2/3 unrolled if the appliance is
to be used for a long period (more than 30 minutes).
Never use the appliance if it, the cord or plug is damaged or if the appliance is
not functioning correctly. Never use the appliance if the filters or dust container
have not been fitted.
Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the manufacturer.
The appliance is for indoor domestic use only. Do not use it on wet surfaces.
Take particular care when vacuuming stairs, due to the risk of falling, or the
appliance falling and breaking.
Do not use the appliance to vacuum up matches, hot ashes, cigarette butts,
hard or sharp objects, wet or damp substances, combustible materials (petrol,
solvents, etc.) or vapour from these.
Do not cover the appliance’s suction or exhaust port. Ensure that you keep
clothing, hair and body parts away from the nozzle and moving parts of the

DUST CONTAINER AND FILTERS
This appliance is not equipped with a dust bag. The dust/dirt is sucked up into the
transparent dust container (9) instead. Once the dust is in this container, it whirls
around so that it does not block suction. The air sucked in is cleaned by means of
a washable permanent filter in the dust container, a motor protection filter and an
exhaust filter.
Important!
The dust container must not be filled higher than the “Max” mark on the side of
the container.
You must never vacuum unless all three filters are fitted, or if one or more of
the filters is damaged. If you do, dust may penetrate into the interior of the
appliance and damage the motor.
Emptying the dust container and cleaning the permanent filter
It is easy to see when the transparent dust container needs emptying.
1. Turn off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket.
2. Check whether the dust container is full.
3. Remove the dust container from the appliance by pressing the release button
(10) and pulling the handle of the dust container (see image on the right).
4. Take the dust container to a dustbin.
5. Lift the upper section with the filter off the lower section, and empty the
container.
6. The dust container can be emptied by pressing the emptying button on the
handle, as shown in the illustration. The base now flips down, and the dust
container can be emptied. (We recommend that you do this while holding the
dust container in a bag).
